About Us

My love for animals started with my very first dog, Poochie.

She was more than a pet—she grew up alongside my entire family. She was gentle, loyal, and deeply loved by everyone who met her. She was the kind of dog you think will be there forever.

One week, my family and I went on vacation and left her with a pet sitter. It was a decision we didn’t take lightly, but at the time, it felt like our only option. We checked in often and were told everything was fine.

But when we came home, we knew something wasn’t right.

Poochie had lost weight, and her behavior had changed. Shortly after, she began crying out in pain. We rushed her to an emergency vet, hoping for answers—but instead, we were given the kind of news no pet owner is ever prepared for.

That night, I had to say goodbye to my childhood dog.

Not long after, our family cat, Big Kitty, began to decline as well. The vet found a mass in her abdomen, and due to her age, there was nothing we could do except keep her comfortable.

I spent every moment I could by her side—trying new foods, giving her medicine, carrying her when she was too weak, sitting with her in the grass, and celebrating the smallest signs that she was still holding on. Watching her fade was heartbreaking in a completely different way.

About a month later, we had to say goodbye to her too.

For months, I carried overwhelming guilt. Even though I knew we loved and cared for our pets deeply, I couldn’t stop thinking:
I should have done more.
More walks. Better food. More time. Different choices.

Grief has a way of doing that—it makes you question everything.

In the middle of that heartbreak, I made a decision. I adopted a puppy.

I named him Buddy.

At first, it wasn’t easy. I was still grieving, and those first few months were filled with tears. But slowly, something changed. Buddy didn’t replace what I lost—he helped me heal.

I would talk to him about Poochie and Big Kitty, and in his own way, he helped me carry that pain.

And I made him a promise:

I will never take a single day with you for granted.
I will give you the best life possible.
I will go above and beyond to care for you.
I will feed you well, protect your health, and love you like every day is a gift—because it is.

Because one day, I know it will all become memories.

And that promise became something bigger.

It became YourFriendBuddy.com.

This brand was created from love, loss, and a deep desire to give our pets the healthiest, happiest lives possible. Every recipe, every product, and every decision is made with that same promise in mind:

To treat our pets like family—and to give them nothing less than the very best.
